The website of the Green Party of Ontario was hacked last Friday. Â Malicious hackers have put up a blog post mocking GPO leader Frank de Jong, by impersonating him and putting ridiculous words in his mouth. Â I am, of course, assuming that this is what happened. Obviously Mr. de Jong would never say something as inane as:
Greens should never vote strategically. Even if your vote was the one vote that would elect another Harper Conservative you should still vote Green. Even if that additional Conservative MP meant Harper would get a majority, you should still vote Green.
I hope that once the Green Party webteam returns from the Thanksgiving holiday they will swiftly remove the work of these hackers and attempt to track them down. Â Our website has also been hacked, you have our sympathies, Green Party.

It doesn’t look hacked to me…?
I don’t think it was hacked either. seems to me that the greens are the only party standing their ground and NOT asking for a ‘strategic vote’. What is a strategic vote anyways?? That my friends is lying to yourself and your country!
Yes, for the record my post was sarcastic and, as far as I know, the Green Party was not hacked.
Despite Mr. de Jong’s statement, Ms. May did call for strategic voting. Unfortunately, some Greens did not listen to her. Like the Greens in my riding (the number of Green votes far exceeded the Conservative margin of victory over the Liberals). I’m not just blaming the Greens, lots of people did not vote strategically. For example, if all the NDP voters in Central Nova had voted Green Liz May would have been elected.
