Contemplating a paralyzed girl and her deceased family members in Gaza is saddening, and one imagines that’s especially so for her friends, remaining family members, and countrymen. With that thought in mind, can you think of any young women nearer by whose injuries or deaths would be similarly evocative if your readers’ attention were drawn to them? Could any such cases be found that have a bearing on the rule of law in Canada? Now, I said “young women,” partly in order to draw a parallel, but I don’t mean to exclude young men in such dire straits, either, especially if they’re cute.
