I am having trouble with downloading your podcast to iTunes. Seems it is not available in the Canadian Store. I have checked in the U.S. store and same thing- no dice.

The article you guys link to talks about how this war is different from the Vietnam War. But you have to remember that there IS a draft that happens with this war too. There are thousands of soldiers that are stop-lossed, including this guy. They think they are done serving their duty and then the government breaks their promises (no surprise there). For those who don't know about this, they might want to see a movie on it. They even talk about going to Canada. Also remember that the Army heavily recruits from the poor and minorities in the U.S. There's even lots of soldiers that aren't even citizens but they are trying to get a Green Card for their families. There is a draft, and it's worse than in Vietnam. The poor, helpless and uneducated are targeted, and the sons of the rich Senators get off free.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly yesterday, both presidential candidates expressed their affection for The Dark Knight, but for some very different reasons.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: If you could be any superhero, which one would you be? JOHN McCAIN: Batman. He does justice sometimes against insurmountable odds. And he doesn't make his good works known to a lot of people, so a lot of people think he's just a rich playboy.

And EW asked Obama,

Last question, and the fate of the Republic hangs on your answer: If you could be any superhero, which superhero would you be? I was always into the Spider-Man/Batman model. The guys who have too many powers, like Superman, that always made me think they weren't really earning their superhero status. It's a little too easy. Whereas Spider-Man and Batman, they have some inner turmoil. They get knocked around a little bit.

Possible insight into their personalities?
