Let's get rid of Islam and see if Fuller is right.

David Cho (of Calgary),
It's these types of comments that helped us decide to recognize Daniel for his work.
Thank you for providing an illustration of the animosity he has had to face as a result.

Some months ago I suggested that you take up the ghastly problem of criminal appeals by the Crown, as we are the only English speaking country in the world which allows same. This fact has resulted in the recent grotesque cases such as Morin, et al. You responded that this was essentially a rather heavy subject and you preferred the lighter side of law and life, but someday, and that day may never come, you and the great Don Corleone, might look at the matter. Well, fair enough, it is certainly the lighter side of life you will face in your legal careers. As everyone is aware, it is mostly giggles and laughter! Are you under the impression that our nation’s law firms don’t keep some track of this crapola? Or, perhaps, far west style, you all plan to strap on six-guns and hang out your own shingle in Yellowknife?

<hr>

LawIsCool:
Hi Pat,
Yes, we do recall your <a href="http://lawiscool.com/2008/01/13/sue-your-drug-dealer-for-oding/#comment-571" rel="nofollow">earlier suggestion</a>.
We did state an interest in the subject at that time, and also responded by saying that we quite frequently address serious topics here. Our readership appears to appreciate a mix between serious and entertaining topics, and the balance is one we constantly reassess.
We do not typically assign stories to our contributors, so they often write on subjects they are interested in or know something about. We'll see if we can find someone to write on this in the new academic year.
Thanks for reading and providing your comments.

mikey k,

sorry, but i don't recognize words that don't use the letter u; that's an american concept

<hr>

LawIsCool: His IP logs to an American server, which is probably why he is using American spelling. 90% of our traffic related to this subject is American.

Steyn always whines that people attack him on how they feel, and never assert his information is incorrect. Well, in this single post you pretty much dismissed hundreds of his articles by destroying the entire premise.
Maclean's should send him back to high school. He might learn a thing or two, including how to get along with his neighbor.

Forgive my confusion but is Mr. Simard actually a complainant in either of the two remaining matters before HRCs?
<hr>

LawIsCool: Mr Currie,
It is our understanding that the complaints are filed by an organization having national standing. But the work and research behind the complaint is attributed to these law students.
Again, we await their own website, as do you, so that they can more accurately speak for themselves.

Good choice. This has to be one of the only sites that isn't afraid to take unpopular stands on controversial issues, especially on the side of a community where it seems they're ALWAYS being picked on in the media.

The justice line is perfect. And if all law students went to school for this reason, we would probably have a much better society.
