Students: Start Thinking About Solo Practice

Susan Cartier Liebel gives our readers some great professional career advice at the Build a Solo Practice, LLC blog.

Let’s face it.  Law is Cool. We have all fantasized about becoming The Greatest American Lawyer and the champions of Truth, Justice and Peace. Having grown up on all the glamorous legal shows like Perry Mason, Matlock, L.A. Law, The Practice, Boston Legal, Damages, it’s hard to not get caught up in the excitement and the drama. Imagine if our days and careers could be edited so seamlessly.

Well, none of us are American, and few of us have even heard of those shows mentioned.

But she does raise some very important issues, including saving money while in law school, and thinking early in your career about setting up your own practice.

We do have a few articles in-works right now on some of these topics, including non-billable hour practice.
