Law is Cool wins Clawbie Award
The Canadian Law Blog Awards (CLawBies) has identified this site for the Legal Culture Award:
3) Legal Culture Award – LawisCool.com - This group of Canadian law student bloggers has offered up some great commentary in ‘07, and often some off the fastest coverage out there. Not afraid to voice an opinion, and lots of fun! Runner up: Precedent (going from blog to magazine!).
First off, a very gracious thank you for the mention. This was completely unexpected and unanticipated for a brand new blog started in the 2007 by a bunch of first-year law students.
Second, we are astonished that we beat Precedent, which in many ways was our inspiration for this blog. Our next podcast episode actually features an interview with Precedent founder, Melissa Kluger (I know you guys are waiting a long time for our next podcast, but exams slowed us down).
Finally, thanks to our dear friend Connie Crosbie for the heads up, all of our fans, and even our readers that are not fans that give us generous traffic. :)

Well deserved. Congratulations, folks! Keep up the great work.
Precedent’s name could have easily been in there. Melissa’s an innovator and has a great course set for her future. She’d also be the first to congratulate you guys.
What makes this blog unique is the different perspectives you’ve gathered together, the timeliness of your content, and the reliable routine of postings. If my “award” (and let’s make the little air quotes here) encourages the lawiscool team to keep it up, then I’m in. :-)
Cheers,
Steve
Congratulations from all of us at Wise Law
