First Year Classes

Most law schools have a standardized curriculum for first year law students.  Electives, which allow students to specialize further, are taken in the second and third years.

First year classes typically cover the following subjects:

In addition, schools usally have some sort of legal research and writing course.  They may also offer an ethics or foundations course as well.
